Teaching Method

In my lessons, we focus on the music that you want to learn. We let the song be our teacher as we analyze the different elements (melodies, chord voicings, rhythms, song form analysis, etc) to help you become a well-rounded player and empowered musician.

For each student, I provide customized lesson plans, specialized practice techniques, thoughtfully prepared exercises to help you rapidly achieve proficiency in multiple areas, and online resources designed to help you maximize your experience. 

Over the years, I have refined my ability to teach to individual goals and learning styles from beginners to advanced players, while ensuring the students needs are being met. I can teach you how to learn your favorite music by ear, jam with other musicians, and write your own songs. Although this may seem complicated, I simplify this process according to your level and you can begin playing your favorite music right away. I will help you get past the fear and vulnerability of learning new skills and have fun playing music!
